Meet Brad

Bradley is an experienced financial executive and founded BRCPA to provide big company financial leadership tailored to the needs of the small business. He understood that a tremendous need existed for the small business that has outgrown what their current CPA/bookkeeper can provide, but also not yet in a position to add full-time finance and accounting staff to the team. Businesses at this level are in a tough spot because they no longer need a typical public accountant or bookkeeper, but financial controllership and leadership. BRCPA fills this gap.

About Bradley
design element
With extensive experience and knowledge of US GAAP, Financial/SEC Reporting, Auditing (PCAOB & AICPA SAS), Bradley has served various clients, both SEC registrants and non-issuers, as fractional/interim Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, VP of Accounting, Director of SEC/Financial Reporting, Controller, Director of Technical Accounting, and as a technical advisor for small to medium sized CPA firms around the United States.

He has a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting and the provisions of the Accounting Standards Codification, as well as other statutory requirements relevant to public issuers, including Reg S-X and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Following his tenure at PricewaterhouseCoopers and serving in senior financial leadership roles for large companies, he spent years consulting for large enterprise, including large accelerated filers, to assist in technical accounting matters that exceeded current competencies within their respective organizations. Such engagements included the formalization of policy memos for the respective registrants' interpretation and application of the FASB ASC as it relates to technical accounting matters, serving as a liaison between client management and their external auditors, assisted with addressing SEC comment letters, drafted SAB 99 (Topic 1.M) memos, and a wide array of other technical accounting needs of large enterprise.

Through BRCPA, Bradley now makes these skills and competencies available for small business, and at a cost that is less than what a company would otherwise pay a small team of less-experienced accountants and financial personnel. Prior to founding Bradley Ray CPA, Bradley’s professional background includes performing financial statement and internal control audits with PwC, a global CPA firm that is a member of the Big 4, as well as financial reporting roles at various large publicly traded companies prior to founding his own practice. His firm has served clients of all sizes and phases of maturity, from large accelerated filers traded on major US exchanges, Smaller Reporting Companies, entities traded via OTC Markets, companies going through the IPO process, established private companies, not-for-profit organizations, and startups.

In addition to receiving his MBA, Bradley’s formal education includes an undergraduate degree in accounting from Drury University and an aeronautical science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
